What is peace? How can it be achieved? To commemorate the 100th anniversary of Italy’s entrance into WWI, LIGCA’s collection of art from the Balkan War will be displayed at the Italian School in London and at the Italian Cultural Institute. The artwork in this collection expresses the experience of children who have endured the tragedy of war, including the loss of family, friends and their homes. Using this artwork, our educators will encourage discussion on the consequences of war and guide the audience to reflect on peace and to explore ways in which they can contribute to a world without wars.
